Day
1:
Arrive in Istanbul, you will be met by your guide and private transfer to your hotel.
After your check-in, you will meet your guide in the lobby for a light introduction tour of Istanbul.
We start with Hagia Sophia, built in 6th century with huge dome. It was the biggest cathedral for decades where you can see the best “Deisis” from 12th century. It will fascinate you with its gold mosaics and its gallery. Then, smells of the spices will welcome us before entering the famous Egyptian Market or Spice Market located in the busy part of the city. Outside of the market is as interesting as inside. We start our day with good smells and let’s finish our days with another attracting scent, smell of the salt and moss from sea. After drive to the pier, we start relaxing with this smell. Before getting a little boat, have some Turkish tea with view of Bosphorus. Our little private boat will make 1 ½ hours trip in Bosphorus that allows us to see the best parts of the Bosphorus; old mansions, beautiful shores, and fascinating fortresses.
At the end of your tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 2:
At 9:00am, meet your guide in your
hotel lobby for a full-day tour in
Istanbul.
Istanbul, served as a capital city
for Empire of Byzantium (4th-15th
centuries) and Ottoman (16th-20th
centuries) and as a consequence, old
city adorned with magnificent
monuments. Our first stop is the
marvelous Topkapi palace that served
as the palace of the Ottoman Sultans
between the 16th and 19th centuries.
We will have opportunity to see the
Treasury, where the extensive
exhibits include priceless
world-class collections of jewelry
including the 7th largest diamond in
the world, the Spoonmakers’ Diamond,
porcelains, and costumes of the
Sultans. Holy Relics will be our
another stop Topkapi Palace. You
will also visit Harem section with
many labyrinths of corridors where
once the royal family lived.
You will have your lunch in the best
restaurants where serves the most
delicious examples of Turkish
Cuisine.
After lunch break, Blue Mosque will
be our next. You will be stunned by
the magnificence of its architecture
and the blue Iznik Tiles that cover
all the walls inside where the name
of the mosque comes from. It still
serves as a mosque and keep it alive
with vibrant atmosphere. Then we
will make a small walk in Hippodrome
remains from Roman time. It is one
of the greatest area of horse races
of Byzantium. Underground or
Basilica Cistern is the “sine qua
non” for this part with its 336
columns. Grand Bazaar will be our
last stop which dates back to
Byzantine period. You will get lost
while checking the shops and items.
Little information that Grand Bazaar
has more than 3,500 shops.
At the end of your tour you will be
transferred back to your hotel.
Day 3:
After your breakfast, you will be
transferred to the port for
embarkation to your cruise or
Istanbul Ataturk International
Airport for your ongoing flights. |
